Privacy Notice
Effective July 28, 2026 · Last updated July 28, 2026
This is a personal website for Mecaela Moreira. It isn’t a store or a business platform — the only place it collects anything is the contact form. This notice explains what happens to what you choose to share, and the privacy choices available to California residents.
Information collected
What you send through the contact form. If you use the form to reach out, it collects the name, email address, and message you type in. Nothing more is required, and there is no account to create. If you’d rather not use the form, you can reach Mecaela on LinkedIn instead.
Standard server logs. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like virtually every website, the host automatically records routine technical data — such as your IP address, browser type, and the date and time of your visit — to serve pages and keep the service secure.
Images loaded from other services. A few decorative photographs in the page’s interlude band load from Unsplash’s image servers, so your browser makes a request to Unsplash to fetch them. Fonts are served from this site itself, so they don’t involve a third party.
No cookies, no tracking, no analytics
This site sets no cookies, uses no advertising or analytics trackers, and builds no visitor profiles. Because nothing is tracked, there is no cookie banner to click through.
How the information is used
- To read and reply to the message you send.
- To keep the website online, secure, and working properly.
Your details are never used to send marketing, and they are never sold, rented, or shared for advertising.
Who processes a form submission
When you submit the contact form, it is delivered through Web3Forms, a form-handling service that forwards your message by email so Mecaela can respond. Web3Forms and GitHub (the host) process this data only to provide those services, under their own privacy policies. No other third parties receive your information.
How long it is kept
Messages are kept only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and maintain a reasonable record of correspondence, then deleted. You can ask for your message to be deleted sooner (see below).
Your privacy rights — California (CCPA / CPRA)
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), applies to for-profit businesses that cross certain size thresholds. This is an individual’s personal website and does not meet those thresholds, so it is not a “business” subject to the CCPA/CPRA, and it does not sell or share personal information.
Even though the law doesn’t require it here, its core principles are honored voluntarily. You may ask to:
- Know what personal information has been collected about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate.
- Delete the information you provided.
There is no discrimination for exercising any of these choices. Residents of other states with similar privacy laws are welcome to make the same requests.
How to make a request
Because no email address or phone number is published on this site, the way to reach Mecaela — including for any privacy request — is the contact form. Note in your message what you’d like (for example, “please delete my earlier message”), and she’ll take care of it.
Children’s privacy
This site is intended for a general professional audience and is not directed to children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect their personal information.
